General questions

What is The Vitality Project?

The Vitality Project is the beauty industry’s first turnkey workplace wellness program, built to prevent burnout, build culture, and future-proof careers across salons, spas, schools, and solo professionals.

What’s included in a membership?

It depends on who you are. Everything included, pricing too, is on the page built for you:

How do I access the program?

Beauty schools: through the Pivot Point LAB portal. Your school gets a private login, and Pivot Point provides the tech support.

Salon and spa teams, franchise partners and solo pros: through The Vitality Project app, on mobile or desktop, using the link at the top of this site. Access is for paying members.

Is The Vitality Project therapy or clinical care?

No. The Vitality Project is a workplace wellness program. We help with personal development, soft skills and well-being: the tools that prevent burnout, build culture and keep careers going.

Workplace wellness, personal development and well-being are everyday practices, and they should not be left to clinical settings alone. There is a whole scope of these practices that belongs in the workplace, and that is where we work. We do not give medical advice or therapy, and we never present the program as either. We keep our lane clean and clear. If you feel you need that kind of support, please consult a medical advisor or a licensed therapist.

This is normal in every other industry. Workplace wellness is one of the most common employee programs there is: Johnson & Johnson has run one since 1979, Google teaches mindfulness to its own staff, Salesforce built quiet rooms into its offices, and most large employers offer something like it. Taking care of people has never meant only health insurance. It means the culture, the skills and the daily practices that keep people well at work. Beauty professionals deserve the same thing, built for their world.

Salon & Spa Owners

What is the financial investment for The Vitality Project?

Pricing is based on your team size, not per person, so you only pay for what fits your salon. Plans start at $200 per month for teams of 3 to 5 and scale with team size.

Each pricing tier covers a range of team sizes, so if your team fluctuates, you can easily add or remove team members.

You can choose monthly or annual billing. Annual members receive two months free, so that is our recommended option.

Monthly billing is still a 12-month commitment, but you can pay in monthly installments. You will not receive the two months free, but you’ll have the flexibility to move to a lower tier if your team size decreases during those 12 months.

Every plan includes the full Vitality experience. There are no hidden costs or add-ons. After answering four quick questions, you’ll see your exact price before committing.

See your exact price
How long am I committing for?

Twelve months either way. What you are choosing is how to pay for it.

Annual: Pay once and get two months free. It is the best price, one decision, and you are done for the year.

Monthly: Spread the investment across twelve payments. It is easier on cash flow, and it is still a twelve-month commitment, so it is not a rolling plan you can stop in month three.

The straight version: monthly costs more across the year because you make twelve payments instead of ten. Annual costs more today. Owners who pay monthly are protecting cash flow. Owners who pay annually would rather make the decision once and not think about it again.

How much time will I have to invest to make this successful?

Between 10 and 30 minutes a month, depending on the level you pick.

Empower, done for you: 10 to 15 minutes a month. Built for booth and suite rentals. You stay mostly hands-off, and we run the program for your people.

Engage, done for and with you: 15 to 30 minutes a month. Built for hybrid teams. You host quarterly mini retreats, and we provide everything you need.

Ignite, done with you: 30 minutes a month. Built for commission and employee teams. You host monthly mini retreats, and we provide everything you need.

A 10-minute Wellness Blueprint during onboarding picks the right level and personalizes the program to your business, your goals, and how involved you actually want to be.

That number is management time only. It does not count the calls you attend for yourself. Your Owner Mastermind, Champion sessions, guest experts, and self-care sessions are not work you are running. They are support you are receiving. Take as much of it as you want.

Management time stays that small because the platform does the running. It schedules, prompts, tracks streaks and Vital Checks, holds the entire on-demand library, and puts an AI coach in every person’s pocket. You are not having to do the teaching, the creating, the admin work, the reminding, the tracking people down, or any of the accountability. Our technology, educational systems, and team literally run the program. You provide it and host it.

We also develop a Champion on your team, someone other than you who carries the momentum. This is the part owners often underestimate. You are getting leadership development you would otherwise hire a consultant for, and it comes back as a person who can lead the room when you are not in it.

The honest answer to “can 20 minutes a month really work?” is that it works because it is not 20 minutes of you. It is 20 minutes of you on top of a system running every day underneath.

My team size changed. Does it cost more to add people?

Growing inside your tier is free. Add people up to your tier’s ceiling, and your price does not move.

When a hire pushes you past that ceiling, the 90-Day Team Member Fit rule holds your current rate for 90 days. Invite them immediately, get them into the program from day one, and your rate does not change until you have had three months to know whether they are staying. If you pay monthly, your next three billing dates stay where they are. If you pay annually, the difference is prorated at day 90. It applies to a move of one tier.

Removing access is instant.

It also changes how hiring feels. New people arrive into a culture and a development system that already exist, instead of into whatever you had time to teach them that week.

Is this really for me or for my team?

Both, and they end up being the same thing.

For your team: 91% of licensed beauty professionals report at least one ongoing wellness challenge, and 1 in 4 are considering leaving the industry because of it. This is the support that helps you hire, develop, and retain great talent.

For you: Imagine having a culture operating system that does the heavy lifting. You’re able to hire, train, and retain talent, and even take that girls’ summer trip you’ve been dreaming about, knowing the business and your people are supported.

The Vitality Project is where a mastermind meets an employee benefit and a culture operating system. It helps your team finally run the kind of business you’ve been dreaming of. This is truly where heart meets technology.

We also develop a Champion on your team, someone other than you who carries the momentum. This is the part owners often underestimate. You are getting leadership development you would otherwise hire a consultant for, and it comes back as a person who can lead the room when you are not in it.

Even if your team never opened the app once, a year at the entry tier is $2,000 when paid annually. Set that against what one resignation has cost you: the empty chair, the retraining, and the clients who left with them. Most owners have been paying for that problem for years without ever seeing it on a P&L.

What are all the ways I am supported, personally and professionally, as an owner?

You are not buying a program for your team and standing outside it. Your membership includes:

Monthly Owner Mastermind Call: A room of other salon and spa owners working on the same things you are.

Bi-monthly Champion Mastermind: We develop the leader on your team so you are not the only one carrying it.

Monthly Self-Care Session: Live breathwork and guided meditation with wellness practitioners. For you, not for your team.

Quarterly Guest Experts: Brought in to address what owners are actually facing.

A private owner-only chat: Where you can say the thing you cannot say in front of your team.

Community Map and Match Maker: So you can find the owners near you and the ones building what you are building.

Your coaching team: Real people who know your business, not a help article.

Owning a salon is one of the loneliest jobs in the industry. Most owners are the person everyone brings problems to and have nowhere to bring their own. This is the part of the membership that is only yours.

Can I use my L’Oréal points to pay for it?

Yes. You are already buying product. Those L’Oréal purchases earn Level Loyalty points, and those points can cover part of your membership or all of it.

Earn points on your purchases, cash them in for a Vitality Project program voucher through your Level Loyalty account, and send it to us. We confirm it with L’Oréal and apply the credit. Vouchers run from $250 to $2,500 and up.

If you pay annually, the credit goes toward your next renewal. If you pay monthly, it comes off the top of your remaining payments. L’Oréal can take up to 60 days to settle a voucher, and we email you the moment it clears.

Beauty Schools

How flexible is the program?

Very. It plugs into your existing learning pathway and can be taught live, digitally or hybrid. Every lesson stands on its own, so follow our recommended path or reorder it to fit.

All onboarding is digital and takes about 45 minutes. Schools do it themselves all the time, and we still give hands-on help with the kickoff for new clients to get things rolling. We are experts at making this program fit your school’s cadence. See The Vitality Project in Schools for a layout of every touchpoint: how to make wellness part of your school’s culture and curriculum from recruitment to the clinic floor.

How many student lessons are there and what comes with them?

14 core lessons. Each comes with a guided video, a workbook, a done-for-you lesson plan and an automatically graded assessment in your portal. Everything is digital, so you can go green or keep costs lean, and for an additional cost you can add beautiful printed textbooks. Students and staff also get The Vitality Project On Demand audio tool.

How long do lessons take to teach?

About an hour live, including all activities and time for shares. Roughly half that digitally, so plan on 30 to 45 minutes for a hybrid lesson.

How does it work?

Honestly, we have cadences we recommend across the board, and we have also created custom cadences for schools that needed something unique or different, and they have worked incredibly well. If our suggestions do not fit your school’s setup, we will customize them. In general, what follows is what 80% of our schools do.

The Vitality Project runs through every touchpoint of your school: recruitment and orientation, the classroom, the clinic floor, teacher moments and the culture and lifestyle of the school itself. The 14 core lessons are taught in the first 90 days, at 1 to 2 lessons a week (3 in a week is fine at the start).

After that, a monthly cadence keeps it alive. Each month one of the 14 lessons becomes the wellness theme of the month: the whole school does a mini Vitality Retreat together, playing that lesson’s video, once a month, school-wide. Between retreats, 10 to 15 minute Wellness Wednesday huddles keep the theme going with actionable ways to bring it into teaching and learning, and teachers even make wellness boards. It is very easy. See The Vitality Project in Schools: How It Works.

What support do you offer teachers?

Three teacher trainings at no extra cost, Elizabeth’s signature corporate wellness sessions: Heart-Centered Leadership, The Power of Language and Trauma-Informed Facilitation, each with its own lesson plan and activities. We recommend teachers complete them within the first 12 months and revisit them yearly.

They work asynchronously or synchronously, so teachers can go through them on their own or as a team. Companies love to run them as a mini retreat together, and they are a great tool for new hires in their first 90 days. It will create the best teachers you have ever had.

We are also hands-on as a company. Depending on your school size, we work with you over Zoom to train the trainers, develop your Vitality Ambassadors and support your team with workplace wellness.

How does teacher training and onboarding work?

Fully digital. A 45-minute video series, plus a Look At A Glance guide, walks teachers through the tools and lessons before they teach. New hires go through the same system. We suggest naming one or two Vitality Ambassadors to own the curriculum.

Solo & independent professionals

Is this for me if I’m in a suite, renting a chair, or fully independent?

Yes. The Solo Pro membership was built for exactly that: suite owners, booth and chair renters and fully independent pros. You are the business, and this is the support system built around you.

What does it cost, and what am I committing to?

It is a 12-month membership, either way. What you are choosing is how to pay for it: $120 a month, or $1,200 a year, which is two months free. Monthly is not a rolling plan you can stop in month three; it is the same twelve months, paid in twelve installments.

Founding members save 20% and lock that rate in for as long as they stay. And if you buy L’Oréal, your Level Loyalty points can cover part of the membership or all of it (see below).

How much time does it take each month?

If you attend every call and take all the support on offer, it is about 2 to 3 hours of live support a month: the monthly Vitality Mini Retreat on that month’s theme, the Solo Pro Mastermind, and the live wellness sessions. Join live or watch on demand.

The app is up to you. The daily practices take 10 to 15 minutes a day, if you want them. It is planned, scheduled and ready to go, and it fits around a full column and a life outside it.

What’s included?

Coaching and community: the Vitality Project Signature Program, a monthly Solo Pro Mastermind, goal and accountability coaching in your cohort, monthly live wellness sessions, quarterly guest experts, the private Solo Pro community and community matchmaking and meetups.

The wellness platform: your personalized wellness app with an AI wellness coach, a digital Vitality Board, 150+ on-demand resources, daily challenges and streaks, and wellness tracking.

Your Vitality OS: wellness surveys and dashboards, AI insights on your patterns, a personal growth dashboard, wellness plans and Vital Checks, and member-only partner perks. The full picture is on the Solo Pro page.

Do I get an actual coach?

You get coaches, plural, but not one-on-one coaching. You are placed in a cohort, like a mastermind, with a few coaches, led by Solo Pro Head Coach Laura Symons, a life coach and business expert who supports micro salons, solopreneurs and suite owners. You meet them on the monthly Solo Pro Mastermind and, at times, on calls with the coaches themselves. During onboarding you complete a quick Wellness Blueprint so the experience is shaped around your goals and the way you work.

I have an assistant. Can they come too?

Yes. The Solo Pro membership covers you plus one assistant at no extra cost, and the Wellness Blueprint asks whether someone is growing alongside you so their experience is set up too.

Will I actually connect with other solo pros?

Yes. Community is at the heart of this. You reflect on each month’s theme, share wins and ask questions in the private Solo Pro community, and the community map and matchmaking find you the pros near you, in person and online. Members often say the connections they build here are some of the most meaningful in their career. You are not alone here.

I’ve never done anything like this before. Is that okay?

That is where most members start. You do not need any prior wellness experience, just a willingness to take care of yourself. We meet you exactly where you are.

Can I use my L’Oréal points to pay for it?

Yes. You are already buying product. Those L’Oréal purchases earn Level Loyalty points, and those points can cover part of your membership or all of it. Cash them in for a Vitality Project program voucher through your Level Loyalty account and send it to us. We confirm it with L’Oréal and apply the credit. Vouchers run from $250 to $2,500 and up. L’Oréal can take up to 60 days to settle a voucher, and we email you the moment it clears.

Beauty franchises

Can we provide this to everyone across our locations?

Yes. Franchises typically bring it in one of two ways:

  • The company covers it. Typically for companies that want to offer it as a perk of renting with them, or for employee-based businesses.
  • The renters cover it. Suite rental franchises can offer it to their renters at a special discount, and each renter chooses to cover it themselves at that price.
We rent suites. Can we build this into the rent?

Yes. Built into the rent, it becomes a standout renter benefit and part of your culture rather than something people opt into.

The same goes for employee-based chains, like a big franchise or a salon and spa chain, that add it to their employee benefits. When a company brings it in that way, we add workplace wellness support, culture training and ongoing support for your leadership, the same way we do for schools. It is an incredible way to make your company stand out and to have a partner in your workplace wellness and culture.

Can we offer it to our renters without covering the cost ourselves?

Yes. We extend special pricing to your renters directly, so your company pays nothing and your people get a rate they could not get on their own. That route does not include the leadership culture consulting.

We are a salon or spa chain. Can we roll it out across the board?

Yes. We bring it in across every location, train your leaders and teams, and license your own leaders to deliver it in house so it keeps running without us in the room. The app is included for every location.

Beauty corporate & partnerships

We would like to partner with Elizabeth or The Vitality Project. Where do we start?

Get in touch and tell us what you are trying to do. We come up with creative solutions rather than working from a fixed menu, so the conversation is genuinely the fastest way to find out what is possible.

Get in touch
What kinds of partnerships do you take on?

Consulting, speaking, unique collaborations and partnerships, and event sponsorships, among others. If you have something in mind that is not on that list, it is still worth asking. Looking to bring Elizabeth on stage for your event, conference, or team? She has her own page for that.

Hire Elizabeth to speak
What if our idea is something you have not done before?

Even better. We are always open to creative ways to bring more wellness into this industry and change more lives, so bring us the thing we have not thought of yet.

Tell us about it
Can we sponsor one of your retreats?

Yes, absolutely. We have been working with brands to sponsor a retreat since 2018. We are experts at creative activations that bring your brand into our community, digitally and IRL, in really unique ways, and we love to partner with aligned brands on this. Let’s get in touch.
