    Recruitment

Give future students a reason to choose your school over your competitors. When prospective students are comparing schools, show them something bigger than curriculum and licensure: a school that invests in the person behind the professional. Promote that you are an academy that provides your students and staff with a wellness program that creates an incredible culture and truly prepares them for career readiness.

Your Official Vitality Project School Trust badge becomes a recruitment tool you can use anywhere future students are deciding:

    • On your website as a trust badge
    • At open houses and school tours
    • At high school fairs
    • In ads and recruitment campaigns
    • On campus signage and window clings
    • In press releases, award applications and PR campaigns

    PR opportunities and awards

Launching the program is news. Schools have used it to earn press coverage, video features and Best Places to Work awards, and we help you announce it: a press release template, the partnership story, and the badge and photography to go with it.

“Having the Vitality Project at our school shows that they care about more than just us getting our license. It shows they care about us as individuals and about the journey we’re on while we’re here.” BrayleeHair design student · Taylor Andrews Academy, St. George, UT

A selling point on every tour: wellness support built into your school

    Admissions

Give your admissions team something meaningful to sell. When a prospective student is deciding where to invest their time, money and future, every school has a curriculum to point to. The Vitality Project is curriculum too, and it goes further: it is the part of your school a prospective student can picture themselves inside.

Vitality gives your admissions team a tangible benefit to sell: a wellness program that is part of the culture of your school. Students learn to protect their mental health while they are in school, and they keep access to the app for two years after graduation, so it is with them as their career gets started.

    • Build Vitality into admissions tours and interviews
    • Bring it up in prospective-student conversations: wellness support is part of the culture here
    • Add it to admissions presentations and enrollment materials
    • Use it as a differentiator when students are comparing schools
“I’ve had a lot of success sharing The Vitality Project in admissions. I show prospective students the resources they’ll be given, and they understand they’ll have The Vitality Project to lean on. I’ve heard them say, ‘I can’t wait to log in and see what’s in store for me.’” Crystal MarreroAdmissions Director · Ogle School, Texas

    Orientation

Set the energy on day one. Orientation is where students decide how they feel about your school, so make it the moment they get excited and motivated. A ten-minute Vitality touchpoint fits right inside the orientation you already run: play the two-minute Vitality video, hand out the textbooks, digital or physical, get everyone logged into the wellness app, and run the kickoff activity together.

From the first day, students are connected to the culture of the school and the resources they have behind them. It becomes a strong, unique moment that no other school offers.

    • A ten-minute touchpoint built into orientation
    • The two-minute Vitality video to open it
    • Textbooks handed out, digital or physical
    • Every student logged into the Vitality Wellness app
    • The Vitality kickoff activity to set the mood and energy
    • Students connected to the school’s culture and resources from day one
“Meditation used to sound silly to me, but now it’s one of the tools I rely on most. It helps me ground myself, reset, and approach each day from a completely different place.” AlexandriaMaster esthetics student · Taylor Andrews Academy, St. George, UT

    Classroom

Fourteen core lessons, right at the start. We recommend teaching the fourteen core Vitality lessons in Phase 1, the foundational period for new learners. That is where students learn the soft skills a career runs on: emotional regulation, mindfulness, conscious communication, taking care of their body and real self-care.

Everything is done for you. The lessons are hosted, the videos and lesson plans are ready, and we train your Vitality Ambassadors to lead them, so a school can be teaching within a week. Run together, the lessons feel like a Mini Vitality Project Retreat inside the school, the same moment our retreats are known for. Most schools lay the fourteen hours into the start of the program; for schools that cannot run that flow, we have customized options, including in-person, hybrid and digital learning.

    • Fourteen core lessons, fourteen hours, at the start of Phase 1
    • Videos, lesson plans and everything else hosted and ready to go
    • Your Vitality Ambassadors trained by us to lead it
    • Up and running in as little as a week
    • Options for in-person, hybrid and digital learning
“Before Vitality, instructors couldn’t always identify what students were experiencing. Now, instead of saying, ‘You’re doing this wrong,’ we’re asking, ‘Do you need a minute? Do we need a break? Do we need to stop and shake our emotions out?’ It’s completely changed our classroom environment.” Karlas MoranSupervising Instructor · Shore Beauty School, New Jersey
  5. Wellness in action on the clinic floor

    Clinic floor

See the soft skills in action. The clinic floor is where students meet real clients, and where what they learn in Vitality becomes what they do every day: holding a conversation, handling a hard client, resetting between appointments.

A monthly Vitality Project theme the whole school follows. Each month is curated and done for you: the theme, the matching videos and activities, and Vitality boards for the hallway, covering mental health, soft skills and more.

Wellness Wednesdays, already planned. A fifteen-minute morning huddle built around an interactive, experience-based activity that pairs with the lesson and skill students have already learned, so any teacher or ambassador can run it. It moves learning into practice, in class, on the floor and with clients.

    • A monthly theme with curated videos, activities and hallway boards
    • Wellness Wednesday huddles, fifteen minutes, already planned for you
    • Interactive activities that pair with the skills already learned
    • Easy for any teacher or ambassador to run
“In this industry, we’re taught to take care of everyone else, but we often forget to take care of ourselves. Wellness is what allows us to show up mentally, physically, and emotionally ready to serve our clients, and that’s exactly why the Vitality Project matters.” Rosa MontezClinic Service Manager · Ogle School, San Antonio, TX

    Wellness as a culture

Give the program a room of its own: a Vitality Pod. Think of it as a zen den, the kind of small space lots of companies now have, where a student or educator can step in, breathe, reset and go back in.

We give you a short list of specific, affordable tools to put in it. Each one helps with emotional regulation, stimulates the vagus nerve and calms the mind. The biggest tool is our app, open to the on-demand library. You are just making the space for it.

    • Vitality posters on the wall
    • An eye mask
    • A chair
    • A salt lamp
    • The Vitality app, open to the on-demand library
“The Vitality Pod is our zen den, and it really did make a big difference. The student was able to take the leave, come back, and still kind of stay on course knowing that they can go into that room. That has been really helpful for students.”Heather MartinInstructor · Tricoci University, Chicago area, IL

Teacher and staff wellness support, included

    Teacher support

Teachers are the heart of a school, so we pour into them. Every teacher gets the program for themselves, not only your Vitality Ambassadors, so it becomes part of your culture and your training. Good hires stay, teachers perform better, the job gets easier, and directors and owners get pressure off their plate. This perk alone would be worth the whole program.

A teachers-only section holds pre-done, easy-to-use trainings: run them in a staff meeting, self-paced or live, or as a Mini Vitality Project Retreat. Elizabeth’s three trainings:

    • Heart-led leadership. Leading a classroom and a team from a grounded, regulated place.
    • Trauma-informed facilitation. The nervous system and trauma, so when a student is struggling, in an anxiety attack or a hard moment, teachers know how to help while staying in their lane, with the science and skills to support themselves and their students.
    • Mindful coaching facilitation. Navigating conflict, coaching people through big emotions, heading challenges off early, and the psychology between generations.

Every school gets ongoing support: train-the-trainer sessions on Zoom with our lead education team, scaled to your size, so wellness support reaches everyone in the building. Schools tell us it is the favorite program they have ever brought on.

“Let’s give each other grace. Let’s motivate each other. Let’s pat each other on the back and support each other and celebrate the small wins.” Rachel GravesEducator · Tricoci University, Chicago area, IL

Students who graduate confident and build careers that last

    Career readiness

The last months of school are about life after the license. Students graduate with boundaries, a way to reset between clients and habits that hold up in a salon, a spa, a barbershop, a lash studio, wherever their career takes them. That is what carries a career past the first year of burnout.

New hires love that they were trained in this. It gives them confidence walking into their first job, and it gives the people hiring them someone who already knows how to regulate, communicate and take care of themselves.

And the program goes with them. Students keep The Vitality Project for two years, and most graduate well inside that, so it is there for the most critical stretch of their transition into the industry, supporting their mental health so the new space does not overwhelm them. It is a perk your school can point to, and one your students can lean on.

    • Confidence walking into the first job, and a new hire employers love
    • Two years of the program, carrying students through the transition into the industry
    • Mental health support so the new space does not overwhelm them
    • For every kind of beauty and wellness pro, not only behind the chair
“Wellness is important in this industry because if you don’t feel well, you can’t fully care for the people sitting in your chair. When you’re grounded and present, you show up differently. You’re more intentional, more connected, and ultimately better able to do the work that matters.” AdeleCosmetology student · Taylor Andrews Academy, St. George, UT
